How much is my kitten and when do I choose my kitten?

What are the parents health tested for?

  • Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD)
  • Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM)
  • Retinal degeneration
  • Myotonia

Do you ship/transport kittens?

Yes! We use a flight nanny to transport our kittens. Your kitten flies in cabin in the lap of a trained professional to your nearest airport. This generally costs between $500-$800 depending on location.

How often does my kitten need bathed?

Generally speaking, once a week. The Sphnyx has oily skin. A cat’s hair would normally pull the oil away from the skin. But since they don’t have hair, their own licking themselves is not sufficient to rid their skin of the oil. The oil on their skin picks up dirt… just like people.

What are common illnesses in a sphynx?

While the Sphynx is a relatively healthy breed, there are some breed-specific health issues to know about:

  • Respiratory issues in kittens due to lack of hair
  • Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, a form of heart disease
  • Hereditary myopathy, affecting muscle function
  • Sensitive digestive systems

Are sphynx hypoallergenic?

No, The Sphynx is not actually hairless, but covered in a coat of down. In fact, the skin texture resembles that of chamois leather. Ask us about our t shirt test that we can send you to see if you have allergies to our kittens.

Do you have a health guarantee?

Yes! We have a two year health guarantee.

How do I litter box train my kitten?

  • Show her the boxes as soon as she arrives by setting her in them and letting her sniff and examine them. Be sure not to move the boxes once you've shown them to her, to avoid confusing her.
  • Set your cat in one of the boxes immediately following meals and after she wakes up from naps. If you notice her behaving like she needs to go, which might look like sniffing or crouching in a particular area, pick her up and put her in her litter box.
